Upgrading your Seat

When you travel with Coast Airlines, there are a variety of ways to purchase a different seat or upgrade to a higher class of service, provided you are not traveling on a Coast Economy ticket. You can purchase a ticket in one of our premium cabins, Coast First or Coast Business, when making your reservation, or change to a different seat or class of service after completing your reservation. We assign seats in the premium cabin based on availability and confirmation priority. If you’re automatically upgraded, we’ll assign you the closest available seat to the front of the cabin. However, you can request a seat change and we’ll accommodate your request when possible. Tickets containing Basic Economy fares are not eligible for upgrades.

Coast First

At the Airport

When you choose Coast First, the leisure of premium cabin travel will begin before you even board the aircraft. Enjoy a smooth start to your journey with Premier Access premium travel services at the airport, including designated Premier Access check-in counters and security lanes and priority boarding.

Check your Bags with no Service Charges

You can check up to two standard-sized bags free of charge when traveling in Coast First. Premier Access also includes priority baggage handling, so your checked bags receive special attention and are among the first to arrive at baggage claim at your destination.

Premium Coast First Seats

Our new, extra-spacious Coast First seat was designed for comfort and convenience, whether you want to relax or work during your flight. It features beautifully contoured two-tone leather, a six-way adjustable headrest and a padded articulating seat cushion that cradles you as you recline. All around the seat you’ll find thoughtful storage spaces for your personal items, including an in-arm tablet/laptop slot, a personal water bottle console and double seat-back pockets. The seat features a new tray table design with a flip-up mobile device holder that fits more than 200 phone and tablet models, and a universal AC power plug to charge your devices on the fly. A marble-topped extendable cocktail table in the center console adds an extra bit of elegance, keeping your tray table free for eating, working or staying entertained.

When you choose Coast Business, you'll enjoy a more relaxed travel experience from check-in to baggage claim. Premier Access premium travel services provide a smooth start to your journey, with designated Premier Access check-in counters and security lanes, as well as priority boarding.

Coast Business Specialized Seats
